No alert option in Dashboard

I have a card that I pinned to dashboard. Have tried to access Dashboard from online service but Manage Alert option doesnt show. I also tried another card which was simpler with just figures no currency, still no option.
I am using a Pro license and the data is refreshed in a premium workspace. I checked other similar posts but they dont offer anything conclusive to what could be at fault.

Hi @JVP 

Does the alert Icon appear when you look at the card inside of the Report it is from?

Also worth seeing if the card is appearing when you select Metrics.

Thanks very much. I didnt know about the alerts on the atual report. I tried to add the alert through here, which didnt trigger any email successfully, BUT seemed to activate the "Manage alerts" menu which wasn't there before in the Dashboard. Once I tried adding the settings through here it I then was able to activate email alerts. Seems strange there are two alert settings where only the Dashboard one works.
