No access to File > Download report
These are the following settings on my user account:
Product Licenses: Power BI Pro; Office 365 Enterprise E3
Roles: Global administrator
However, when I login to powerbi and click on any of the reports, I don't have access to click on File > Download report and export the pbix file.
Any ideas on what I'm missing?

Machzy Then you wouldn't be able to download the file.
A Group Workspace is a "Pro" feature, and the creation is going to depend on what UI you are using in the Service. It's either a seperate Workspace tab with the "+" or click on your workspace and a drop down should appear that let's you create them.

While working with the product team to de-bug an issue, this feature was brought up. My report did not allow for download either and according to the tech I was working with, it is tied to publish date. The report had to be published after the feature went into preview. This may change once the feature is fully rolled out.

Good call - but my manager has the same access (or so I thought) as I do and he can utilize the export button for the same report. So I feel like it's a user/security issue. But I can't seem to find what options/settings to change to allow me to see that button.

Machzy I assume by your description that you are in a group workspace? Are you both admins in the workspace?
If that isn't the scenario, then it sounds like these are shared with you, in which case you wouldn't have the ability to download them.

Hi Anonymous
I had a similar issue.
I have granted access to a user to dataset level as 'Read, reshare, build', and to report level as 'Read, reshare'.
However, user complaint that he can't see the 'Download pbix file' option.
What would be the issue? or do I have to add him to the workspace access in order to be able to download the dataset?
