New Work Space - Cant Grant access at report level to O365 Group

Hello,

So this is a new issue that I didnt have a few weeks back.
Workspace is upgraded to new workspace.
I have a user group in O365.
I can grant access at work space level to this group.
But i can not grant access at a report level to this workspace it get this error "One or more email addresses could not be validated:"

This was not an issue on other reports and I can see the same O365 group at the report level with direct access. However today this is not working. ANy advise will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for replying. Ye i found the same after some digging they were old workspaces that had been created off a 365 group so was working. Ill have to create a distribution group to make this work.

I have to admit that I do not fully understand what you mean by "give permission" to a report, assuming that you mean sharing a single artifact with individual users or groups, I consider this article really helpful: Share Power BI reports and dashboards with coworkers and others - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Here it is mentioned that only distribution groups and security groups can be used. if a new group is created using the M365 Admin Center, a M365 group is created.

From my understanding, this group can not be used for sharing.
I'm working now for quite some time with V2 workspace, and if this has ever been different, sorry for that.

I recommend opening a support ticket with Microsoft.
