New Real-Time Dashboard - can't add data
- Ensure you're listed as Admin in the workspace's Access settings.
- Verify the workspace is correctly assigned to Premium capacity in its settings.
- Your PPU license is fine, but ensure the workspace uses Premium features properly.
- Confirm data source credentials and gateways are set up and working for live queries.
- Check relationships and storage modes (Import, DirectQuery, Dual) in your model.
- In the Admin Portal, ensure there are no tenant-level restrictions on actions or Premium capacity.

The reason your OneLake Datahub is showing up empty when trying to add data to the Real-Time Dashboard could be due to several factors:
Permissions: Ensure that your Power BI workspace has the correct permissions to access data in the OneLake Datahub. Your account may need elevated permissions or access granted at the OneLake level.
Data Source Compatibility: Check if the data sources in OneLake are compatible with Real-Time Dashboards. Only certain data sources, like streaming datasets or DirectQuery, may be supported for real-time tiles.
Configuration Issues: Make sure your Real-Time Dashboard is set up correctly with the right configurations in Power BI. You might need to ensure your datasets are configured to support real-time data and are correctly set up for alerts.
Dataflow or Model Refresh: If the dataflows or semantic models in OneLake aren’t updating in real time or are using Import mode (which doesn’t support real-time updates), it may affect their availability for the Real-Time Dashboard.
Power BI Service Sync: Sometimes, syncing issues between OneLake and Power BI can cause data to not show. Try refreshing the connection or reconnecting the data source.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to check Power BI’s specific integration with OneLake or reach out to support for deeper troubleshooting.

Hi Poojara,
How would I check if the workspace has the correct permissions?
I am an admin myself, with a Premium Per User Licence, the workspace in question is Premium Capacity. I also have Tenant Admin rights, do you have any suggestions there?
I have a model using direct query which I was attempting to use, so surely this should be adequate? Additionally many of our models use a combination of Import and Direct Query as they contain both Live & Historical Data.
Thanks,
Matthew
