New Gateway update breaks my R credentials

I updated my gateway to the latest version because I keep getting this on my datasets:

After updating all of my dashboards that had an R datasource were failing so I uninstalled and reinstalled the older version.

This is after the fix. But before it would have the yellow X next to the R credentials.

This is the error message I would get:

I tried all the different privacy levels and nothing would work:

Note that I am running an older version of R, but I don't see how that would break it.
