Need to create Multiple data sources for different users of Teradata

Here I made a test using SQL database, we cannot add the same server name in the gateway twice although we use different data source names. This is by design. Why not directly add these users to the data source of gateway? For more details, please check the online document.
If you persist to create multiple data sources with same server name for different users, here I suggest to use On-premises data gateway (personal mode). So in your scenario, you can let the members from different groups use personal mode gateway to connect to the source. Please notice here the data source could not be shared with others.
