Need help with schedule refresh via on prem data gateway

Hi Guys,

Please could you help me, I have created a report that uses 3 different data sources all (CSV) and one web source for bank holidays. I have installed an on prem data gateway on a remote server within the organisation and have configured it to my account. I have selected the data gateway in the gateway connection part of the dataset, and arranged a refresh time.

I have set the correct data source credentials within the gateway also. It keeps throwing an error saying you have not installed a personal gateway. I do not want to use a personal one! but the on prem one that i have installed.

The following error:

Hi there

It would appear that there is a Personal Gateway installed.

You could ask your Power BI Admin to look in the Admin portal for the Power Platform to find the personal gateway.

Thanks for the response. but i do not want to use the personal gateway as that would need my machine to be on everyday which is why I want to use the on prem data gateway..

Do you have any ideas?

Hi there

I agree, as far as I know you would need to first get the associated personal gateway removed with the dataset and then you could link it to the enterprise gateway?
