Need help for switching Mircrosoft personal plan to other with access to sharepoint and Power BI
I purchased a Microsoft Personal plan as recommended on the website, but I later realized that it does not include SharePoint and Power BI. I’m really confused and unsure which subscription plan would allow me to utilize these tools for personal use. Could you please advise?
Hi StevenNguyen ,
If you need SharePoint and Power BI access, a Microsoft 365 Personal plan will not be sufficient since it is designed for individual use and lacks enterprise-grade services like Power BI and SharePoint Online. To get both tools, you need a Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise plan.
For personal use with Power BI, the best option is to purchase a Power BI Pro license ($10/user/month) or consider Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) ($20/user/month) if you need advanced features. If you also require SharePoint access, you should upgrade to Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Microsoft 365 E3, both of which include SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Office apps while allowing you to integrate with Power BI.
To switch plans, log in to your Microsoft 365 Admin Center, go to Billing → Your Products, and choose "Upgrade plan" to select a suitable Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise subscription. If you need only Power BI without a full business suite, you can subscribe directly via the Power BI Service portal.
Hi there!
No the Microsoft 365 Personal plan doesn't include Sharepoint and Power BI. Instead you should cancel that plan and purchase Microsoft 365 Business Standard (around 12USD per month i think) which has sharepoint and power bi free version. OR Microsoft 365 Business Premium (22 USD per month I believe) , which has everything from the standard package but with better security and management of your devices.
Hope this helps!
