Need Step by Step Approach for Migration of Power BI workspace from EM1 to P1

Hey All,

We have recently got updagraded to P1 from EM1 Licencse and i am looking from guidance on how to migrate the existing workspaces which were owned by different users across the Org? Can this be done from the Admin Console or need to go step by step from the respective user console?

Thankyou in Advance. @Member123456 @PowerBI

Hi. If you just want to change the capacity of the development and not copy pasting in a different workspace. Then you can simple use the Power Bi Rest API with admin priviledges for the tenant and for the capacity P1. There is request to assign a capacity to a workspace. If you have the list of workspace (that you can get with the API too), then just loop them assigning with a script that can be run locally.

Request for assigning: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/capacities-assign-workspaces-to-capacity

I hope that helps,
