#solved. Seems like a cache issue.

  • Hi DiKi-I  It is because the report uses a live connection to the Fabric Semantic Model. Ensure you're signed in to Power BI Desktop with the correct account and active internet access to connect to the Fabric workspace and database. I dont think reports relying on live connections cannot be fully opened offline. For offline work, export data from the Warehouse and create a static dataset temporarily.

  • You can open your Fabric-based report locally in Power BI Desktop by establishing a live connection to the semantic model. Here's how:

    1. Sign In: Open Power BI Desktop and sign in with the same account that has access to the Fabric workspace.
    2. Get Data: Go to Home > Get Data > Power BI semantic models.
    3. Select Model: Choose the semantic model from the list and click Connect.
    4. Build Report: Create your report using the live connection.

Note: Offline editing isn't supported for Fabric semantic models.

I'm logged in correctly, I can see the tables and measures. Its just that the visuals are not loading and giving error which is really strange.

can you please try clearing cache and all permission from options(dataloads and security) and then close and reopen the PBI desktop.
