Navigation Pane in the App is not visible/expanded by default

I noticed a few days ago that the navigation pane on the left to jump to different reports within an app is no longer visible. When you come into the App you have to click the arrow to expand the navigation pane. This is causing many confusions for our users and some not knowing they need to expand the pane to see more reports. Definitely not user friendly as the previous look. Is there a setting that I can change to have the navigation pane visible by default?

Hi, are you adding something to the url? I'm not having that issue. I have opened different apps at my tenant and all of them have the Pane by default. I'm asking because I remember that if you add chromeless or something like that it won't show it. But if you navigate at app.powerbi.com to apps and open one, then it shows it.

I hope that helps,

When you are upgrading the app there is an option on step one that says "Hide app navigation pane". They might have enabled that. That's the only thing I can think that explains the behaviour.

I hope that helps,

@ibarrau Oh wow that did it. I definitely overlooked that when I tried updating the app. Thank you so much!

@ibarrau I have tried navigating to the Apps section and then clicking on one. I just did a quick check and it looks like all my apps are fine except for 1 which is the one that most users access daily. For some reason this is the only App that does not show the navigation pane. I also noticed it behaves differently from the other apps when I expand the navigatipan pane. Normally when closing and expanding, the rest of the report adjust so the navigation pane is not overlapping any data. But in the app with the issue, when I expand the navigation pane it overlaps my data and the report page does not auto adjust. Not sure what changed but a couple days ago I did not have this issue.

When you are upgrading the app there is an option on step one that says "Hide app navigation pane". They might have enabled that. That's the only thing I can think that explains the behaviour.

I hope that helps,
