Navigation Pane disappeared for the BI App user with Viewer Access

Hi All,

Yesterday, I got complaints from users about "disappeared navigation pane in BI app".

When I change their role from "Viewer" to "Member" the navigation pane appears back but I don't want to give them the "Member" access.

Is there a bug or am I the only one having this issue?

I have resolved the issue by unpublishing then re-publishing the app. Appearently there was a glitch on the current app link and it is OK with the new app link.

Hi Dears

Here are the screenshot of Admin and Viewers. As you can see, Viewers cannot see the Navigation Pane (as if "New Navigation Builder" is turned off). When I give them the "Member" access, they can view it.

All the viewers have this problem

I only have this app, so haven't tried any other app would have the same problem

We have been using this app for almost 1 year without an issue. This problem popped up suddenly

The problem still continues

Hi @MKemal ,

Viewers see the interface after closing the New Navigation Builder option.

I would like you to try to republish the app, make sure the New Navigation Builder option is turned on. Then ask viewers to reinstall the app.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Hi Winniz,

I have tried re-publishing the app by ensuring New Navigation Builder is turned-on. It's OK for me but NOK for the viewers. I always keep the builder ON.

Users are not installing the app. They just reach from the app from the link.

Maybe I misunderstood your advice. If so can you pls make it more clear?

Hi @MKemal ,

I can't reproduce your problem. I'd like to suggest you open a support ticket to get better support from power bi team.

Hi @MKemal ,

Is it like this? When the viewer clicks the contraction button of the navigation pane, it doesn’t work? Please provide a screenshot of the error interface.

Did all the viewers encounter this problem, or did a certain viewer encounter this problem?
If only a certain viewer encounters this problem, it may be caused by his local browser's network speed cache. If multiple viewers have this problem, the problem may lie in the app itself.

Does this problem exist in all apps or is it just this app?

Does this problem appear suddenly or has it been since you created the app, and has this problem persisted until now?

Best Regards,
Winniz
