My power query editor freezes when adding a customized column

I didn't reproduce your problem. Did you mean that the "advanced editor" button was grayed out and could not be selected after you created a custom column?

If convenient, could you please describe your issue more clearly and provide your steps (If you can provide a screenshot, it will be better.) in order that we can help you further more.

The issue is that I got 4 excel files, I create a new table based on these 4 tables, I run transpose and then add a new custom column and....it crashes!!

3rd: Add custom column: it crashes. Maybe it is amatter of size after transposing?
