My Workplace Stuck on Trial
Success! While explaining my problem to my colleague, I clicked on the model as was able to delete from the ellipsis(...). I thought i'd tried this before, but maybe it needed an extra nudge.
Hi MikeAinOz ,
It looks like you're dealing with two main issues: the expired Fabric trial license and trouble deleting specific dataflows from your workspace.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you sort things out:
- First, make sure your workspace is switched back to the Pro License. You can do this easily through the Power BI Admin Portal by managing your workspace settings.
- If your workspace is still under the Fabric trial, it could be restricting your ability to delete dataflows. Try moving the workspace to a Power BI Pro environment—this should lift those restrictions and allow you to manage your dataflows properly.
- Once your workspace is correctly licensed, go to the Dataflows section in the workspace. From there, you should be able to delete the DataflowsStagingWarehouse Warehouse and DataflowsStagingWarehouse Semantic Model. Just click the three dots (...) next to each and select Delete.
- If you’re not actively using the workspace, you could move it to an F2 plan. However, keep in mind that F2 has some limitations, such as smaller data model sizes and fewer advanced features, so only do this if the workspace isn’t a priority.
- After making these changes, refresh your workspace settings to clear the persistent trial expiration notifications. This should stop the nagging reminders.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you run into any issues or need more assistance along the way.

Thank you for your kind response, I had tried to move it to a Pro license, perhaps I should have mentioned that. The results was :

My workspace workspace cannot be reassigned because it includes Fabric items or you're
attempting to move them across regions. This is not supported currently. Remove the Fabric
items, or move the workspace within the same region, and then try again.

Can we do dataflows with Pro now?
