Multi Row Card Visual Not Respecting Program Year Filter(Table Visual Works Fine)
Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction because I have been troubleshooting this for hours now.
I have a power bi report where:
My data comes directly from a table (VBC_Estimate)
earnings is a regular numeric column (not a DAX measure)
program_year is also a column in the same table.
I have confirmed the data itself is correct.
Here is the strange behavior:
A table visual correctly respectes the program year filter
When filtered to 2026, it shows only the 2026 earnings (for example, $208)
When both years are selected, it correctly shows both 2025 and 2026
However, when I use the multi-row card (or the new card visual with multiple values), the current earnings value ignores the program year filter and it sums both years together instead of only showing 2026.
Things that I have already checked,
Relationships are active
filters are set correctly
program year is in the visual/page filter
the table visual filters correctly
refresh date updates correctly
edit interactions were checked
rebuilt the card visual from scratch
deleted and recreated the visual
confirmed the issue only occurs in the card visual.
Has anyone seen a multi-row card ignore filter context while a table visual respects it?
Could this be a visual bug, aggression issue, or something related to the new Card visual?
Any ideas would greatly be appreciated

Hi simms ,
Do you have any othe columns or values in the multi-row card?
I advise that you make use of a measure to show the sum of the earnings and try it on the multi-row card instead of the column value.
If this does not return correct result can you please share a mockup data or sample of your PBIX file. You can use a onedrive, google drive, we transfer or similar link to upload your files.
If the information is sensitive please share it trough private message. - v-csrikanthCommunity Support
