Moving ownership on reports

Hi all,

 

So far we had one user that created and shared the reports with the rest of the team. 

Now this user is leaving the company and his email will be deleted. How do we prepare for this transition? Can we move his "ownership" to a new user without losing information?

    Hi Maayan_Sh

    There is no direct way to tranfer the ownership.You could consider some workarounds.

     

    1.Deploy  the Report  in the App WorkSpace from the Power BI desktop  and Share the ownership with the other users . Then give edit permission to these users, in this way, they can have access to the dataset and are able to edit the report.

     

    2.Create an organisational content Pack and ask the users to connect the same and personlise the content pack to edit the reports and dashboards. 

     

    Here is an idea submitted before, you could vote for it, also, a workaround is shared under it by the Power BI Product manager.

      Can you let me know, is it possible to create a shared workspace and move the report to it, from a personal workspace?
