Model update schedule other than 00 minutes 30 minutes

Is it possible to schedule the semantic model update to something other than 00 minutes 30 minutes?

For example, 08:50

I can only choose 00 or 30 for the minute, is this possible?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @yyjp Currently, Power BI doesn’t allow scheduling updates at times other than 00 or 30 minutes.
You could look into these workarounds

  1. Use PowerShell scripts with the Power BI REST API to trigger a refresh at custom times (08:50).
  2. Automate this script using a task scheduler like Azure Automation or Windows Task Scheduler.

Hi @yyjp ,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

If a gateway is required for your data source and isn't installed or configured, the refresh schedule option will be disabled. Install and Configure an On-Premises Data Gateway.
Once the gateway is installed and configured, the Configure a refresh schedule toggle will be enabled, and you'll be able to set up scheduled refreshes.
By default, Fabric (and Power BI) restricts semantic model refresh scheduling to 00 or 30 minutes past the hour. This means that setting a refresh for 08:50 is not directly possible through the UI.
Currently, the built-in scheduling options in Fabric only allow updates at 00 or 30 minutes past the hour. However, you can achieve a refresh at 08:50 using a workaround:

Power Automate – Set up a flow that triggers the refresh via the Power BI REST API.
