Model tooltips no longer appear in Power BI service

Since Wednesday May 14th 20256 the tootips when hovering over fields in the 'Data' section when building a report no longer appear. This is for reports when viewed in the Power BI service. The tooltips do appear when viewing the report in Power BI Desktop (April 2025  v2.142.1277.0 (64-bit)).

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Thank you for reporting this issue. I understand that model tooltips (those appearing when hovering over fields in the Data pane) are no longer visible in the Power BI Service since May 14th, 2025, although they still function in Power BI Desktop (April 2025 version).

This seems to be a UI issue on the service side, possibly due to a recent update in the Power BI Service. To help identify the problem, please try the following:

Clear your browser cache and reload the Power BI Service with a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R).

Use a different browser (such as Edge, Chrome, or Firefox) or Incognito/Private mode. Check if the issue occurs with other users in the same workspace or with a new report created from scratch.

Thanks for the repply. It is happening on all reports in the service in Chrome, Edge and Opera browers.

Hi. It's working ok for me. There is no Tenant configuration to remove tooltips for all the reports. Make sure if it's not a behaviour of a single one that might have been changed by the developer. Otherwise make sure to try it on a different browser or machine.
