Missing data in online refresh from external data source

Hi, 

I have created some visuals that pulls data from an API, and would like to get it to automatically refresh in the online version.

I've established a personal gateway, and the flow runs without errors. However, not all of the data gets pulled through during the online refresh, even though it is connected to the same source.

This is what the visual should look like

and when I refresh in the online version, I only get some of the data. 

Wondering if if anyone has a solution or if there is a limit to how much data can be pulled through the gateway?

if you refresh the report in  Power BI  Desktop, will it also miss data?

Thanks for your reply. No, in the desktop version all data gets pulled through. This only happens when I'm in the online PowerBI and I need the gateway.
