Missing 'More Options' ellipsis icon on a report with embed codes

Hey community,
I have a report, the 'More Options' ellipsis icon works fine on desktop and service but goes missing when the report is embedded.

Any idea if, and how, I can overcome this?

I'm particulary interested in the Export Data option.

How are you "embedding"? if you are working with code the link I have sent should help you. However if you are just inserting a publish to web code, you won't be able to do it. That kind of iframe for web sites is considered insecure and won't show ellipsis ever.

More info about publish to web: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web

I hope that make sense

Hi ,

Based on the description, when the semantic model of the embedded report is a composite model with direct query connection to another semantic model, and the embedding is done using a Service Principal, export data from a visual doesn’t work.

Hi. The visual header icons can be changed in many places. You can hide one by one or all of them for a single visual. You can also change report settings at desktop or service in order to hide all of them in the whole report. If you are also embedding, you can control more things too. For example this docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/javascript/api/overview/powerbi/hide-visual-header

You could start checking if the visual headers are shown in Power Bi Service. If you can't see them there, it's a configuration of the report. If you can see there it's something when embedding.

I hope that helps,

By embedded you mean published to web? I dont know about the other options  but being able to export to Excel or csv is not available for reports that have been published to web.
