Migrate from Custom Analytics to Power BI

Hi,

We have an analytics dashboard customized as per the requirements, in which we are directly accessing the MySQL data and showing the records on the customized UI. Now we are planning to move away from all the custom developed UI to a BI tool. For this we are evaluating different BI tools available in the market e.g. Tableau, Power BI.

We have a relational database with around 6 TB of data and the requirement is to show the statistics using maps, bar graphs etc on the BI tool dashboards.

1) How many users can access the dashboards parallely? Lets say if we share the dashboard with 100+ users, will that be supported?
2) In future if the no of users grow, how can the solution be scaled up e.g. we require mulitple deployments of Power BI servers. If some info on this can be made available that would helpful.
3) Is predictive analysis supported? Lets say for our usecase we are showing events related data and we want some preditictions to be made on the data, does PowerBI tool support it?

Also could you share the steps required to migrate from custom analytics to Power BI.

Power BI has different liscenses.

With pro/premium liscense, sharing the dashboard with 100+ users is supported.

You could buy the liscenses per your requirements month by month, so don't worry about this problem.

Last but not least, It should be noted when you have large data such as 6TB, you should consider "direct query"/"live connection" when connecting data to Power BI.
