Microsoft giving up on Power BI dashboards

Hello All,

Does anyone know if Microsoft has given up on Power BI dashboards? I've sent two issues with the new card visuals and I'm not getting any response back. The new card can't be pinned to a dashboard if you have multiple measures in one visual. It will display blank. So I have to break up the card visual into separate card visuals.

Hi @nleuck_101 ,

Thanks for raising this. Power BI dashboards are still supported; however, they rely on a more legacy rendering framework, and not all capabilities of newer visuals such as the new Card visual are fully compatible when pinning to dashboards.

Based on your description, this appears to be a limitation or possible regression with the new Card visual when multiple measures are used. While the visual renders correctly within the report, dashboard tiles typically expect a single resolved value, which can result in a blank tile when multiple measures are present.

Your current workaround of splitting the visual into individual cards aligns with expected behavior today.

Additional workarounds you can try:
1. Use a Multi-row Card
The multi-row card visual is generally more compatible with dashboard pinning and supports displaying multiple measures reliably.

2. Use separate visuals and group them
Create individual card visuals (one per measure), arrange them in a grid layout, and pin them together to maintain a consistent appearance on the dashboard.

3. Switch back to the legacy Card visual
If you're using the new Card visual, reverting to the classic Card visual can provide more stable behavior when pinning to dashboards.

Hope this helps.
Thank you

I already broke it into individual visuals to get around this issue. While I understand Power BI dashboards are still supported, I do feel like Microsoft has abandoned them and hasn't made any updates to dashboards in quite some time.
