Microsoft O365 Usage Analytics refresh error
Hello,
I am trying to load my organizational data into the Microsoft O465 Usage Analytics report. I provided valid credentials and the refresh tries to load the data. After a few minutes the refresh fails with the following error message:
| {"error":{"code":"ModelRefresh_ShortMessage_ProcessingError","pbi.error":{"code":"ModelRefresh_ShortMessage_ProcessingError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"Message","detail":{"type":1,"value":"The credentials provided for the OData source are invalid. (Source at https://reports.office.com/pbi/v1.0/660a03b2-b28a-4a23-8593-d695ed7cb6b3/TenantOneDriveUsage.)"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: TenantOneDrive-Usage. |
Can anybody tell me what error this is and how to fix it?
Regards,
Dennis

Hi Anonymous ,
Cause: Sometimes the credentials of the user who connected to the template app are reset, and not updated in the connection settings of the template app causing the user to see refresh failure errors.
To fix this error: In Power BI, find the dataset corresponding to the Microsoft 365 Usage Analytics template app, select schedule refresh and provide your admin credentials.
If that doesn't work, clear the cache, and re-create the template app.

Liang

Hello V-lianl-msft ,
No, i still get this issue. What "admin level" do i need to get the data? I Think i am "just" a power bi admin. DO i need to be a global admin?
