Microsoft Fabric Signup Redirect After Logging Into app.powerbi.com
- 3 years ago
Fabric Free is the rebranding of Power BI Free. Have a chat with your
Tenant Admin to verify which licenses have been assigned to your user.
The May 2023 Power BI Blog details this abput half way down the page.

The same thing is happening to us for some users. When they attempt to sign in for PowerBI they get redirected to the "You've selected Microsoft Fabric free" login page. I don't even see a "switch to other account" option, just creating a new one. It appears to be related to already being signed in to an account on a different domain. Using an incognito window works like before and takes you to the normal Microsoft sign in page. If it was just me I would use that workaround but I don't think "clear your cache" or "open an incognito window" is going to work with all of our customers.

The issue has already been identified and solved and confirmed with the User's Tenant Admin as a Licensing issue. Refer to reply Message 6 of 8 where it states:
"Thank you! The root cause ended up being a conflict of licensing. Somehow, my user account was correctly associated with the premium license (so I could dev and upload just fine), but when I accessed the service online, it would attempt to access my license (referenced from portal.office.com/account) which did not have Power BI licensing. Not sure how that happened, but when that was brought into alignment, problem solved.
Thanks again!

Hello,
We had this problem after upgrading from PowerBI Pro to PowerBI Premium. Instead of seeing the reports, microsoft redirects users to a page Microsoft Fabric Free. To get around it, you can enter a phone number, uncheck the boxes for free information, then click the blue button to continue. After the the users were able to see their workspaces as usual.
