Microsoft Fabric - Dataflow Refreshing error

Hi Community,
This is my fist time here,
Wanted to ask if there is an issue with refreshing the dataflows today.
I have Premium per User licences if this helps.

I am getting this error:
There was a problem refreshing your dataflow. {"RootActivityId":"1548fdc0-bbff-f872-f755-159a5f41a3ac" "ErrorMessage":"A task was canceled."}

Any help on this please?

Seems to be back to normal on my end.

Many other dataflow refresh failed yesterday night. I'm running a manual refresh, hoping now everything is fine. Are there any note from microsoft related to this instability? Anyone received an answer to their ticket?

thanks

I didn't got an answer. Only mail I got was that they were working on it yesterday afternoon.

Oh so did they tell you there was an issue on their side?

There exact words where:

"I wanted to let you know that we're checking with our internal team about [Dataflow Gen2 refresh failure]. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information."

I have the same error happening here on several Dataflows, with the same generic error message

I have the same issue since this morning around 10:42AM. Most of my dataflows (gen2) are now failing. Already updated the data gateway without success. I raised a Support ticket for Microsoft.

Same here, most dataflows are having problems refreshing and I can't publish new ones. Always getting generic errors like "Something went wrong." and no further explanation.

I'm gonna have a very nice afternoon explaining to my stakeholders why our reports aren't refreshing.

Will there be an announcement from Microsoft or an official note?

Nothing so far. The Fabric status page says everything is "running smoothly".

Yeah. What are you planning to do?

I was hoping it would be just a momentary instability but it doesn't seem to be the case. Guess I'll have to open a ticket and wait.

I have the exact same issue today. Try to edit the dataflow and save changes (without actually changing anything). This way some of my dataflows refreshes went through just now.

We are facing the same issue since today - slow opening of any dataflow, refresh & saving not possible.

We are also experiencing the same issue.

Hi,

Have exactly the same issue. Experienced first time at 10:22 am (Germany) on a dataflow that run at 15min refresh intervall.

Im still trying to understand and isolate the issue.

Are you using Dataverse /CDS/D365 connector/source by any chance?

EDIT: Using PPU license as well.

No, I'm using SQL Server as the data source. I then perform some manipulation and data cleaning using dataflows and linked entities. The first dataflow failed last night at 1 AM.

It's worth noting that the dataflow worked fine in the previous days, so I'm unsure what the issue could be.

I haven't updated the gateway; it's still the august version. I don't think it's a gateway issue because even the dataflow that only performs some joins is failing.

I'm also using some dataflow with gateway for some on-prem SQL, but have also dataflow that failed that are not using gateway at all.
However I do use almost all the time linked dataflow/entities as well. Woundering if that could be the issue..

Same here, some of them I didnt touch since a while and where refreshing at least daily without any issues.

I faced the same issue for the connection with MySQL and excel files.

Is there a chance to be an issue with updates in gateway?

I'm not sure. I read about some procedures to follow if you update the gateway to the latest version (the September one), so I'm uncertain. Which version are you using? I'm currently on the August version

Also, are you not noticing any slowdowns? Everything seems slow or stuck; I can't see the update history, it takes a long time to open the dataflow, and I can't save changes to the dataflows
