[Microsoft 365 Usage Analytics] User activity by month

Hello,

I want to create my own report from Microsoft 365 Usage Analytics data.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/usage-analytics/usage-analytics?view=o365-worldwide

  1. This report will follow each users activity by month :
    DisplayName, ∑Teams_ChatMessage, ∑EXO_EmailRead, ∑EXO_EmailReceived, ∑EXO_EmailSent
And so we would to compare activity of users month by month. is it possible ?
  2. Also, we want to display the date of last connection for each user.

Thanks,

My question is : if it is possible to create this report (details on first post) with Microsoft 365 Usage Analytics data and power bi ?

    • I have alreday tried, but data of user activity is available just for the current mounth.
I want to find any way to save this data (5 columns above ) and display in PowerBI for the last 3 or 6 months for example.
    • Also I have not found field about last connexion time of user.

    Thanks

    Hi Majid083

You can see 12 months of data on the Product Usage page, which contains the count of active users . But there are only three fields in it that you want, [EXO_EmailRead] [ EXO_EmailReceived] [ EXO_EmailSent].

As you said, the documentation mentions Reports that show user level details show data for the previous complete month. So if you want to display information for the last 3 or 6 months , you may need to make a recommendation. Currently the system does not support it .

The link below is Ideas forum , you can put your needs in the forum .

    Hi v-easonf-msft , lbendlin

Is there any way to store somewhere the "user's activity" each month and then load it this in Power BI ?

May be with Power Automate, if it is possible ?

INFO : our organisation use Microsoft Office 365 Basic.

    Thanks,
