Merge Gateway Clustersundefined

Hi all,

Looking to merge 2 gateway clusters so that we can get redundancy, both consist of only 1 server currently and connected to different services IE one just does Data Gateway and the other a PowerBI Gateway, what is the easiest way to get both into one cluster without losing connectivity to workloads that use each cluster currently?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can try to gradually move the non-primary gateway out of the cluster 。

Please refer to https://www.fourmoo.com/2018/10/16/power-bi-gateway-how-to-remove-a-gateway-instance-from-the-gateway-cluster/

From my understanding, you need to uninstall the current Gateway and add the gateway to the cluster when you register the new one.

Thanks @v-deddai1-msft, what will happen to the connections to the non-primary cluster after its added to the primary cluster? Will I have to re-link any power platform apps/services to it?

Hi @Anonymous ,

No, you don't have to. Just add it to the cluster.
