Menu list of different REPORTS

Hi Community , 

 

My client wanted menu list as home report where it contains list of all different REPORTS of different workspace that will work just like navigation buttons on pages with back button to home page with a click.

 

I tried with hyperlink but it opens new web site page and no back return button to the starting home report. Basically each link opens new tab web page and user has to find which one is the home page/landing page with the menu lists.

 

dashboard is not accepted as it has less customisable features like report.

    Do you mean that a dashboard with tiles having links to reports is not acceptable? 

    Dashboard tiles do have an option to open hyperlink in same tab.

      AbhiSSRS my client prefers menu list in report rather than dashboard.

    Based on my testing, there is no permanent solution for such issue

     

    However, there is a temporary solution for you in order to open the hyperlink in the same tab as the report. Right click hyperlink and then select “Inspect element”, you will see the code for the hyperlink which likes this :

    <a href="https://msit.powerbi.com/groups/me/dashboards/5db599e5-bb56-407c-9c48-db81f2fe637d" target="_blank">Dashboard</a>

    Change the code to <a href="https://msit.powerbi.com/groups/me/dashboards/5db599e5-bb56-407c-9c48-db81f2fe637d">Dashboard</a>, then you can open the dashboard in the same tab as the report.

    Hi schoden,

     

    You can create apps in power bi service.

    You can see the navigation in apps, similar to the menu list you need:

    For the content in the current workspace, the app automatically generates navigation.
    For content in other workspaces, you can add links to the navigation as:

    For the content in the current workspace, you can freely switch pages on the left side.
    For the links of other workspaces, you need to click the back button of the browser to go back to apps.

     

    You can refer this about more features about the app.

      Thank you for the response , yes my client prefers the look in Report created as Menu List rather in workspace or Dashboard.

      Each Button is provided with Web URL as shown in second Pic.
