Measures disappearing at Report level

Hello,

I am a PowerBI Pro user for my organization and we have constructed PowerBI reports that point to a single PowerBI dataset.

My understanding is that reports that use a PowerBI dataset cannot additionally define calculated tables and columns, but it can define additional measures. (I know of the Composite Model functionality, but we just aren't using that in this context)

I create reports and define measures within the reports. That means the report has measures that are not defined in the model, but are for the report only.

This is my problem;

The measures I am making at the report level are not saving properly. I will publish a report with its' own measures, but when I download the report the measure will disapear and the visual will show an error.

Measures will also disapear after saving the pbix file and re-opening it later locally in PowerBI Desktop. (the report is loaded via a live connection to the PowerBI dataset on the online service) 

Is anyone else having this issue?
