Max Offline Dataset Size (GB) = total model size

I have a semantic model in fabric and have hit the limit for Max Offline Dataset Size (GB) Is Max size of a semantic model = Max Offline Dataset Size (GB)? In that case its 3GB for F8. How is this...

Does it mean that if I set the model to direkt lake only mode max offline dataset size will not apply?

    Yes, when you set your Power BI Fabric model to Direct Lake only mode, the Max Offline Dataset Size (GB) limit does not apply. This is because Direct Lake mode operates differently from traditional import or DirectQuery models.

    Ensure that your workspace supports Direct Lake (currently in Microsoft Fabric).

    Direct Lake works optimally for scenarios where the data resides in Delta Lake format in OneLake.
