Mass Filter
The developers of this mass filter did an update which resulted in loosing the filter field.
You need to edit each mass filter field and add the filter field again, which resolves the issue.
Hi Anonymous
The root cause is linked to a recent update that affected the behavior of the mass filter field in Power BI Service. You need to setup a field to filter on even though it worked earlier, this is likely due to how the filter field got dropped from the report model after republishing.
You can try these as this worked for me:
-
Open your report in Power BI Desktop.
-
Go to the filter pane and check whether the affected visual has lost its filter field.
-
If it's missing, re-select the correct field in the filter section manually.
-
Republish the report to the Service.
In some cases, archiving and unarchiving the visual (especially if it’s part of a template or pinned page) helps refresh the metadata and fix display inconsistencies.
If you're using reports built via Power Apps embedded visuals, it might require a manual refresh or a full rebind depending on how the filters are structured. Microsoft has acknowledged this as a known issue, and if these steps don’t work, I’d recommend raising a support ticket with details of your workspace and affected visuals.
