Hello,
I would like to mask our report server name on the report URLs for security purposes. For example:
I would like to mask:
app.powerbi.com/67f3faa0-44fga9-46f2/reports/4535c04-dsae8-3254-fb88
to
mycompany.bi/PBI/reports/sales
or,
app.powerbi.com/mycompanyPBI/reports/Sales
Is this possible?
yes and no. While you can use a DNS forwarder to make your vanity URL point to the actual report you will have two issues
1. The users still need to register the app somehow (unless you enabled auto install)
2. This is not masking anything, merely aliasing.
This is your chance to engage directly with the engineering team behind Fabric and Power BI. Share your experiences and shape the future.
