Hi Team,

I have a issue in Map Visual. While creating a visual it shows Country name and state name correctly.(For Example. US and texas) in Power bi Desktop level.

But after the publishing its shows correct location. (For Example. Texas states address ).

when we share the app or reports to other user on thier viewing point its show in location in map.(For example: Texas state shows near Florida state)

Red round marked state is texas but its shows incorrect location in Map.Incorrect location marked ImageIncorrect location marked Image

Image has been enclosed. Please check and give your valuable feedback.

Hi. Are you formating the column to build the map. There are some ways to help the engine rendering maps. Let me tell you about two.

One would be adding country as father hierarchy on the map and expanding next level to states. That way the visual understands that it comes first country and then states. This same scenario was done creating a single new column like [Country], [State] some years ago before we were able to make map hierarchy (just in case).

The second one is categorizing the state column as state in Power Bi Desktop. The columns can have categories. It's not all about types. In those categories you can pick the correct one for the column (state).

I hope one of those helps,
