Map and filled Map visuals aren't available for your org. Contact your tenant admin to fix this.

Hi, I am fairly recent user of Power BI and still figuring out the tool.

I was working on a project and wanted to use Infographics. I was prompted to sign up and I did with my professional email. It is a free account.

But now the map and filled map visuals that worked for me before do not load.

I received - Map and filled Map visuals aren't available for your org. Contact your tenant admin to fix this.

I do not see Tenant settings in my Admin Portal.

I googled and saw that I needed to contact my Microsoft 365 admin.

Now, I am confused. I am a solopreneur and am the only person with access to my accounts. There is no one with higher privilege. Which admin does Microsoft want me to contact here?

@santoshskcp It's difficult to say exactly. If you really are the only person (account) in your org and you have an organization like mycompany.onmicrosoft.com let's say, then you should be able to go into Azure AD and make yourself a global admin, etc. Do the following:

  1. Sign into the Azure AD portal here: https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_IAM/ActiveDirectoryMenuBlade/~/Overview
  2. Click on Users in left navigation pane
  3. You should see only 1 user. If you see more than 1 user then you may have to check which one has Global Administration.
  4. Click on your user
  5. Click on Assigned roles in left navigation pane
  6. There should be a role of Global Administrator
  7. Sign into the Power BI Service with the Global Administrator account
  8. Gear icon, Admin Portal

  1. Tenant settings are at the top
  2. Ctrl-F in your browser and search for Map
  3. Under Integration settings, expand the map settings and enable them

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Hi, Thanks for replying.

Do you think this not being a paid account is probably the core issue?

Since I had only logged in because I wanted to use the Infographic app and was prompted to log in.

After going through numerous forums, I think this contact your tenant thing is Microsoft's indirect way of saying you do not have a paid account.

But if that's the case, they should clearly state that in the warning instead of sending me on a rabbit hole of finding the tenant admin. So I am not excatly sure at this point.

@santoshskcp Hmm, not sure about that, I don't work with a free only account on my Power BI tenant so maybe that's the root cause.
