Manual refresh using Excel and Google sheets

I have a report built in desktop version, that uses a number of excel sheets and one google sheet that is shared with multiple users.

I shared the report in browser with giving users the access. Obviously refresh doesn't work on browser for the excel sheets as data source but I wonder why it doesn't work on Google sheet?

means that when those users input data in the google sheet, why it does not reflect to the shared PBI report when I hit the refresh button?

What I have to do each time is to open the pbix report in my computer and refresh, so it will have new data from Google sheet and then I have to publish it again.

Am I missing something?
