MS Access Data Source in SharePoint Refresh Not Working
- 1 year ago
Hi rosa_pch ,
Follow this steps -
Keep your .accdb file in your computer/VDI and install power bi gateway(personal mode). Next, you need to republish your report. I'm pretty sure it will work as I already helped 2 users at our tenant.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Sai Teja
Hi rosa_pch,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Power BI Service does not support Microsoft Access database files, especially when stored in SharePoint, due to the absence of the required Access Database Engine.
To resolve this, we recommend moving the data from Access to a supported format such as Excel (stored in SharePoint or OneDrive), SQL Server, or SharePoint Lists. Once migrated, update your Power BI report to connect to the new source, publish it, and configure a scheduled refresh.
If using an on-premises SQL Server, please ensure a data gateway is set up for seamless refresh.
