Loading Power BI images using Base 64 query

Hi Friends,

I want to show company names along with the company Logos. So i loaded the images folder from my local using Base 64 query

https://blog.gbrueckl.at/2018/01/storing-images-powerbi-analysis-services-data-models/

Now if i publish this pbix file into the Service workspace, Then when i refresh the dataset, will it take Direct Query mode or do i need to install manage gateways?

Please confirm.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi BhavyaM ,

Based on your picture, you have used a web data source and a local file as the dataset at the same time.

For local file, you can use a personal gateway, edit credientials in the Data soucre credentials to refresh it, or you can use an enterprise gateway to add a local file as a new data source to refresh it.

    use personal gatewayuse enterprise gateway

For the web data source, you need not a gateway to refresh it, just edit credentials in the Data source credentials tab as the above picture shows.

You can download the latest version of gateways from here.

    Best Regards,
    Yingjie Li

It doesn't require a GateWay, you have a web source.
