Load updated data from local drive
Hi,
I have a dashbaord created which uses a file named: employee file. The employee file is in the local drive. After few days, I made some changes to the local file, now how do I upload the new file to power BI. When I try uploading it is creating a new file with suffix as (2). I want to understand if there is an option to upload new file from local drive and have the dashboard data refreshed.
Please help. Thank you.
Hi sruthianem89 ,
If you want to refresh the data in the dashboard in power bi service, you could add the dataset to power bi on-premises data gateway so that you could refresh the dataset in power bi service directly.
If you want to update the visuals in the dashboard, I'm afraid that you need to republish the report to power bi service and re-pin the tiles to the dashboard by my tests.
Hope my explaination is clear.
If you still need help, please describe your scenario in more details so that we could help further on it.
Best Regards,
Cherry
