Live connection to a Power BI dataset

Hi,

I just published a report on the cloud.

Point is I cannot connect live, from Power BI Desktop, to the dataset published on the cloud . When I click on "from Power BI Dataset", a spinning circle starts but I never get through

My account is something like

username@domain.onmicrosoft.com

Is this due to the type of account I am using (containing onmicrosoft?)

Can you help on understanding why I have this issue?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is there a timeout error message? When you try to live connection to other Power BI datasets, will the error also appear? Please check if you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop?

Can you kindly share some screenshots around the issue please? This is not helping much.

Add error screenshot as well which you are facing.

Best Regards,

Yuna

Hi @Anonymous

What I have found is that if I close down all my PBIX files there is one phantom PBIX still running.

Open up Task manager and if you see any Power BI Desktop files, right click and End Task.

Then open your PBIX file again and it should allow you to log in
