Is there a way to export or generate a list of users who have access to an app (not an app workspace but an app). I'm able to generate a list of users who have access to an app workspace. I am not able to generate a list of users who have access to an app. Often times, more users have access to an app than the underlying app workspace and I'm trying to produce a list of those users. Thus far I have not been able to find a solution either in the Power BI Servier or via PowerShell.
Thanks,
Jim
Is there a way to get the list of users who have access to the dataset . That might be an indirect way of genrating the list of users who have access to an app .
Thank you so much. Does this apply to workspaces only or also to apps? In our scenario, workspaces have different audiences than the corresponding apps. I'm looking to find out who can access workspaces and also who can access apps.
I have a similar issue - has anyone been able to find this out, please?
Looking to get a list of all Power BI apps which I can get from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/apps/getapps but I also need to get a list of users that can access these apps. Any ideas, please?
Thanks!
Hi,
thanks for this, but this is not what I am after. I am specifically looking for a list of users that can access the app - which is different from the users who can access the underlying workspace.
This is what I am after - Power BI Service - Apps unnder edit app "Permissions".
Did you get a solution to this? I am asking the same questions and not seeing my app users access listed in the getgroups API
Hi @GilbertQ, a year later... Do you know if there is a suggestion in Power BI Ideas on this topic (get list of app-only users from api) that I can upvote?
I tried to find something without any luck. It also does not look like this feature has been implemented yet.
Hi @Anonymous
Yes there is an API to get this below:
Admin - Apps GetAppUsersAsAdmin - REST API (Power BI Power BI REST APIs) | Microsoft Docs
