Please can you guide me on the correct way to setup a service account on my On prem gateway?
I have created an on prem gateway in DWH using my work email address, the gateway links DWH to MS Azure, Power Bi etc.
Every month I have to change my AD password were I have to restore the connections to each one of the applications. I am trying to change the gateway account to a service account.
However I keep getting this error:
The specified username is invalid.
The specified username is invalid.
at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.UnsafeNativeMethods.IADs.Get(String bstrName)
at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.CredentialValidator.BindSam(String target, String userName, String password)
I cann log into this account and setup a different gateway on another server. Is there something else that I am missing?
