Hi @DAS123 ,
According to your description you want to open power bi through a connection on teams, as far as I know power bi has an app like a shortcut icon on teams, you can add the app icon you can quickly access power bi.

Besides that, you can also click on the plus sign in the chat interface to generate the share link

Of course, you can also generate a link through dashboard and report sharing, and then paste it in teams.
For more details about interacting with power bi in teams, you can refer to the official documentation.

Hi Albert,

Thanks for your response.

I'm trying to get a link that I can open external to Teams which will open Power BI in teams.
Use case is to have this as a button on a website, which will open Power BI in teams.

Hi @DAS123 ,
Thank you for your patience, now I understand what you are trying to do, you want to create a button on a website and by clicking on this button you want to open the power bi in teams. In order to do this we are first opening the power bi in the teams web page by clicking on the app button and then searching for the power bi and opening it. Copy the address of the page on the opened page and use this link as the trigger event for the button you want to create. However, please note that in order to open power bi in teams via the link you need to be logged in to your account and only be able to see your own power bi.

Best regards,

Albert He
