Limit expression must be integer type, but got bigint

I'm using Databricks SQL partner connect to connect to Power BI. The report works in Power BI desktop in direct query mode, but when model is published online, i get this error:

Couldn't load the data for this visual

DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [42000] [Microsoft][Hardy] (80) Syntax or semantic analysis error thrown in server while executing query. Error message from server: org.apache.hive.service.cli.HiveSQLException: Error running query: org.apache.spark.sql.AnalysisException: The limit expression must be integer type, but got bigint

Note: The same model works in import mode when published online.

solution that worked:

Publishing the report in a non-premium capacity.

The error results from the row limit under workloads in premium capacity.

Hi @MarKha,

I found a post on the forum reporting a similar error. He solved the problem by changing the data type.

Here you can change the data types of fields and measures, republish to the service, and check the results.

Thank you for looking into this. Unfortunately, this solution will not work, because i'm using a measure and the error doesn't seem to be related to the data type of a column.

Using the column does not result in an error, but when i apply Count on the same column, the error occurs.
