Licensing requirements for viewing a shared report
I'm currently on a trial of Power BI and looking at making a subscription when complete.
We're using Power BI to create dashboards in CRM and then share them to users to be able to view them. We were under the assumption that Pro licenses would be needed to create and share the reports, and the users viewing them wouln't have a Pro license (just a 365 subscription).
But, during our testing a user has to have a Pro license to view a share report.
Is this how the licensing works? We only have 50 users - would they all require Pro licenses?

Hi PowerBI001,
Yes. Users need pro license to view shared dashboard.
With sharing, whether you share content inside or outside your organization, you and your recipients need a Power BI Pro license, or the content needs to be in a Premium capacity.
Reference: Share dashboards with coworkers and others
How should I collaborate and share dashboards and reports?

If the viewer users need pro license to view the reports/dashboard then it is really crap! absolutely crap!!!! We'll be looking other solution.
