Licensing Question - Fabric/Embedded
Hi. It depends on you. Microsoft Fabric capacities allow you to create and share content and leverage reports/dashboards for your applications. Microsoft Fabric provides all the capabilities required for a developer to extract insights from data and present it to the business user, whether it is within Fabric or embedded in external applications.
You can use workspaces with Fabric capacity enable for embedding just like the ones with PowerBi embedded.
You could just use fabric for all or keep both to split capacities with different resources.
I hope that helps,
Awesome. I don't know which your capacity you had and your plans or data volume. Glad to check microsoft has helped. Just remember that you can use any Fabric SKU for embedding.
Regards,
Hi again ibarrau.
From what I understand to deliver the reports to Free Users we would need a Fabric SKU 64 (as in the link below) with lower licenses the user must be PRO to access the workspace.. Since the cost is 10 eurs/h for F64, keeping Powerbi Embeded SKu1 plus the app and a lower Fabric SKU clearly is advantageous for us. Although Embeded has some limitations with hybrid/composite models and Direct Lake Connections

If you want to share free users in Power Bi Service. Then yes, you must purchase F64. However, if you have developed a custom web site with power bi embedded, then you can use any fabric capacity plan to display the reports in that web. That's why I said "it depends".
