Licenses needed to develop Power BI Dashboard and Licenses for viewing the Dashboard inside SP

We want to develop a Power BI Dashboard which show bar charts from many SharePoint Online lists & Libraries .

so we will have 2 users who will be developing the Power Bi Report, and we have 50 users who will view the Power Bi inside sharePoint online pages (embeded using Power BI modern sharepoint web part). so can i know the needed licenses for both the 2 developers and the 50 users ?

Thanks

Hi @fileonlineservi

There is no real distinction between a developer and a viewer in Power BI licenceing.

In this case you will need 52 Pro licences, 2 for the developers and 50 for the viewers. This is the most cost-effective licence type for secure viewing. A Premium Capacity licence (which allows free licences to view) will cost a lot more. The only other alternative for the viewers is for the developers to use "Publish to web", then the viewers don't need a licence. However this places the shared content on a public web server accessible by anyone on the internet, so may not be appropriate for proprietory or secure data.

Hope this helps
