Hi everyone,
We are trying to find the way to publish reports online (obviously connected to our local database so that they can be automatically refreshed) to access it from a link, maybe by embedding it in an iframe on a webpage or directly from a dashboard. Do I need to have the "per capacity" license or just with a premium or pro license for publishing would be enough? And what about the ones needed for the users and not developers - maybe just a free license?
Thank you for your help

HI @iker_b
Yes, probably the simplest licenceing option for small (<500) user groups is to buy everyone a Pro licence.
They'll each get a "My Workspace" private area where they can store Reports and share them with others. Also they can create Workspaces to collaborate together and share Reports and Apps built from those workspaces.
Hope this helps

Thank you very much, that seems to fit our needs perfectly!
Hi @iker_b
To publish a Report to the Power BI service online you need either a Pro, or Premium Per User (PPU) account.
This Report can then be shared with other users who also have a Pro or PPU account.
Note that in this scenario all viewers of the shared Report require a Pro or PPU licence. If the Report is shared on a Pro workspace they'll need a Pro licence, if the Report is shared on a PPU workspace they'll need a PPU licence.
However if the organisation has a Premium Capacity licence, and the Report is published to a Premium Capacity workspace, the Report can be shared with users who have a Free Power BI licence.
If enabled by the local Administrator, the publishing user can use "Publish to web" to place the Report on a publically facing web store, the url of which can then be shared with anyone who can access it anonymously without any licence. However Reports that are "Published to web" in this manner are not secure, they are indexed by search engines like Google or Bing, and may turn up in internet searches. For this reason "Publish to web" should not be used for company confidential or proprietory information.

Hi @Burningsuit , thank you for your help.
I think that the best solution for us would be adquiring some Pro licenses, but where would those shared/published reports for the rest of the users be? Would they be given a private workspace to share all the reports? In that case, probably we should go for that
