We have a map with all postcodes for a specific area and want to use the map to visually select (using a freeform lasso) the sales territory and show the selected postcodes in a linked table.
Is this possible with the old map or Azure maps? I tried to use <Ctrl> or <Shift> or <Ctrl>-<Shift> but nothing seems to work. Selecting individual bubbles is pointless for this use case.

I managed to fix this using the ArcGIS visual. That visual has various selection tool, freehand being one of them. Selecting the area on the map automatically creates a filtered table on the right which can be exported for further processing 🙂

Thanks for the responses.
@tayloramy txs. I'm aware of the <Ctrl>-click option but my data is a lot more granular - postcode. We're defining the sales territory looking at the map and say all postcodes in the red circle are allocated to salesperson A (illustrative only as the actual territory is much larger making a <Ctrl>-click function not usable
@hgerard do you know of other non-std visuals with this functionality?
Hi @tfmeier_,
I am able to ctrl click to select multiple areas on an Azure map. Can you provide more details? Note that you can only select areas that you have a dataset for.
Here is what it looks like on my system:
Clicking on the map lets me select one country (my data is only as granular as country on this report:
And then holding CRTL and clicking again allows me to select multiple countries:

@tfmeier_ To the best of my knowledge, there is no area select for any standard map visuals.
