Responsive ResidentKeep filter button on visuals: my litle dream :-)
What you guys think about keeping filter on visuals?
In current release, user can't do multi-cross filter from 2 or more visuals.
I think it will be a great future (see picture) that allow keep filter context from different visuals to achive more "drilled down" reports

Nice suggestion! We've actually considered adding this before, do you think it should be the default behaviour? So highlighting in multiple visuals always add to the filters rather than replacing it. How would you expect to remove that?- Tishchenko
Hi, WillT! First - sorry for my English ;-)
You are right, my suggestion make some troubles in highlighting, removing filter etc.
So, lets me suggest another behavior to this button "Keep filter".Imagine that this button we are rename from "Keep filter" to "Make highlighting items as report filter".
When user press this button on visuals that have highlighting items- this items must be added to report level filter,
and when uncheck this button - report level filters must be cleared.
Then user can do this scenario with another visuals.In other words - we will get "Visual report filter builder" through the reports visuals elements.
I'm know, we have filters panel for this, BUT users don't like make filter task in this panel (small place, long list of items ect and many mouse clicks ;-)
I'm think, that scenario will be very helpfull for users, who wants do easy driil-down analisys in one-page-report.
- WillTYour English is better than my Russian (?) :) Please go suggest this on ideas.powerbi.com if you haven't already. There are a variety of things we can do to make filtering and focusing on specific data more easy, so having the suggestion there will make sure it's considered too. Thanks!
