I have a report that was made in PowerBI desktop that contains Buttons with Italic text. When I publish this to the service view the last character is always cut off.
The button looks like this on Desktop:
This is how the button looks in the service:
I have tried adjusting the padding, the alignment and the font size, but the text remains cut off. Has anyone encountered this before, and found a solution?

I agree with @Hemmet_BI that having an apostrophe visible after the placeholder space is not an acceptable solution. But an invisible "non-breaking space" character works. Use Alt-0160 after your header text to add a space that won't get trimmed off.

The best workaround is creating a transparent text box, filling in the name and grouping the two objects, not the fastest but serves the needs in extreme cases with letters T and X etc.
Best workaround is creating a transparent text box, just fill in the text box and then group them with the button. There is no other better way at the moment.
Hi @Hemmet_BI
This issue has been confirmed as a known issue internally. You can use the workaround I mentioned above. Please be patient to wait for fixing. If there is any news, I will update it here.

Hi @Hemmet_BI
After my testing, the same problem exists, you can type a few spaces and a “.” after the text as a workaround.

Hello,
This is not a satisfactory workaround as the period shows up in the button.
I have found putting a single apostrophe after one space will sometimes fix the issue. Other times the apostrophie will still show a little bit.
If possible you can recreate your buttons on service and check.
I recreated the button in the service and it has the same issue:
